Silent Earth

An intoxicating mix of mellow dance and ambient soul, Silent Earth's sound is like no other. From working with the likes of Richard X, Nitin Sawhney, Barry White, Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis, this diverse and eclectic Brighton band is set to make waves.

The album 'FAQ' symbolises life's frequently asked questions. The album includes"Chains" a captivating and lyrically poignant love song. Other tracks include 'Times Have Changed', a stirring, heartfelt commentary conveying a relationship breakdown, and the beautiful melancholic 'Tears'.

Silent Earth began when Dan Karrouze and Ru Garvey met. Danny had been producing tracks for a while when he sought a co-producer that could help create the sonic picture that he had invisaged. Through a chance meeting they got chatting about music and its wonders and discovered they both lacked what the other had in abundunce...a perfect combo.

The band formed when core members Dan, Ru and former singer Una starting playing with long time friends and jam buddies Jonny Maiden and Matthew Wear. From the off their gigs locally and in London venues went down a storm...now they are looking for a bigger slice of the pie.

Many of the vocals were recorded in the band`s beach side studio, and the ethereal and laidback mood of the album reflects this environment completely.

Firm favourites on the Brighton music scene, Silent Earth are set to release their music to the nation, following in the steps of fellow Brighton stars The Kooks and Fat Boy Slim.
